Located just minutes from the centre of Hobart is the bustling, sophisticated and trendy suburb of Sandy Bay wedged in between Mt. Wellington and the Derwent River, is home to the Wrest Point Casino, a multitude of restaurants boasting cuisine from all over the world and Regent Park Apartments.


The Apartments are set on a typical busy, inner suburban block and feature 14 units on four levels (1 x one bedroom & 13 x two bedrooms), a guest lounge and games room, a BBQ area and there’s the famous Holiday Concepts Pancake Breakfast.

Regent Park Apartments is a great base to explore the magnificent island of Tasmania.  Within walking distance is the Wrest Point Casino, the shopping precinct and restaurants on Sandy Bay Road, the famous Salamanca Market every Saturday morning and the docks area. 


There are double decker, tram and coach tours of the inner city and suburbs, you can cruise or jet boat on the beautiful Derwent River and take in its many islands.  You can visit the Cadbury Chocolate Factory, Cascade Brewery and Mt. Wellington is less than a 30 minute drive.


The picturesque, historic village of Richmond is located about 20 minutes from Hobart and is home to the oldest bridge, church and gaol in Australia.  There is a Maze, old fashion lolly shop and several wineries making it a must visit destination.  Spend a day visiting the former convict settlement of Port Arthur, whilst stopping on the way to see the natural attractions at Eaglehawk Neck including the Tasman Arch, Devil’s Kitchen, Tessellated Pavement and blow hole. 


The fresh seafood and produce is a highlight of Tasmania along with the many great wines this state produces.


Launceston, Devonport, Burnie and Strahan are all reachable in a day from Hobart.

Directions

From Hobart Airport:  Take the motorway to Hobart, travel over the Tasman Bridge where the highway will turn left towards the city.  Stay in the left lane which will become Davey Street.  Continue up Davey Street for nine sets of traffic lights and turn left into Antill Street (Hungry Jacks on this corner), which becomes Regent Street.  Regent Park Apartments are located on Regent Street between Queen and King Streets.


From Bass Strait Ferry:  For those who wish to travel from Melbourne by Ferry, Hobart is just under a four hour drive from Devonport.  Take Midland Highway (Highway 1) heading south to Hobart, this will turn into Brooker Highway at Granton on the outskirts of Hobart.  Follow Brooker Highway down to Davey Street.  Continue up Davey Street for nine sets of traffic lights and turn left into Antill Street (Hungry Jacks on this corner), which becomes Regent Street.  Regent Park Apartments are located on Regent Street between Queen and King Streets


Public Transport from Hobart Airport:  You can travel by taxi for approximately $45-$50 or the Airporter Shuttle Bus to our front door which is approximately $15 per person one way.
